The Bastion Amsterdam Centrum-Zuidwest Hotel is a purpose-built modern property combining hospitality, comfort and good facilities. Though the lobby is small with limited seating, extra space to stretch out and relax is offered by the adjacent lounge/library with free Internet access. The 90 medium-sized bedrooms are equipped with double-glazing and have recently been redecorated to a very high standard with bright colours, predominantly reds and yellows. All are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms with shower only.

The hotel offers an extensive Continental breakfast buffet on weekdays from 06.00 till 09.00 and in weekends from 07.00 till 11.30. Cosily appointed with dark wood furnishings, the restaurant is open from 11.00 till 23.00 for lunch and diner and serves both regional and international cuisine. The bar (which has a juke box and a plasma-screen TV) is open daily until 01.00. There’s also a small patio where guests can sit out in the summer months.
